Wooden Horse

I saw this horse staring at me from the day I was given this piece of driftwood. The raw wood came in the form you see (knots where the eyes are, and worn away exactly in the shape where I painted the ears, etc.). After cleaning and bleaching the wood, I have painted it with ink, and oil paint, finishing with the infusion of the purest of encaustic (beeswax), hand collected from a bee keeper in Iuka, Mississippi, cooked and resinatted with pure Damar resin. The size: 15'3" L x 10.5" W x 2" Thick.
